One would imagine that installing a “Children at Play” sign would help curb speeding in neighborhoods. But unfortunately, that is no longer the case. A driver willing to fly through a residential area likely understands children are around. Still, they fail to imagine the repercussions of what may happen should a child stumble or run into the road in front of their speeding vehicle.

Speeding in neighborhoods is a serious problem that plagues communities striving for safety despite the best efforts of both homeowners and local law enforcement.
